Seashells for Water Wells
OUR PURPOSE
Seashells for Water Wells is a not for profit organization working to improve water conditions in Kenya, Africa, in alliance with Kenyan Health Care Initiatives. We believe that no one should have to think twice about the cleanliness of their water. Our goal is to raise awareness about the importance of improved access to clean water. With the help of KHCI and people like you we know we will be able to achieve our mission.
MEET THE TEAM
Brooke is the founder of Seashells for Water Wells. Currently she is in college majoring in physiology and neurobiology with a minor in psychology. She aspires to work in the medical field and has a passion for giving back to others. When not making necklaces, you can find Brooke running, making cards and hanging out with family and friends!
In Kenya it is common for people to walk miles each day to get water. Both children and adults carry jugs of water back to their home or to school so they have something to drink. The water is commonly taken from nearby streams or older wells. More often than not the water they retrieve is not sanitary and needs to be filtered to prevent the consumption of undesirable bacteria. Unfortunately many communities do not have access to water filters. With your support we can help improve access to cleaner water.
