First Project

Our first project is centered around water filters. Not every child in Kenya has access to clean water, and nor do a majority of the schools. One water filter can help a school provide numerous kids with clean water on a daily basis. Each school goes through a set of questions which prove their need for the filter and in addition their capability to sustain the filters (one filter is expected to last at least 3 years). When filters are delivered to qualifying schools, they are taught how to maintain the filter. Children bring in leftover plastic bottles to fill with filtered water for themselves to prevent spread of illness. Clean water has a long lasting benefit and is key to proper nutrition for children while they are still developing physically and mentally. The initial goal is $1000, which will purchase 5 water filters. Each water filter is $200 and will go to a school in Kenya that has proved their need for the filter. All necklace sales and donations are guaranteed to go directly toward the cause.

*Due to COVID-19 our project has slightly changed. Rather than the filters going to the local schools we will be directing our current funds towards purchasing water filters for family homes. We thank you for understanding and appreciate your continued support.
